What's wrong in it?

Kranthi was wearing a jeans and a loose fitting hoodie sweatshirt to parlour. So with his attire he could pass easily as a girl. The parlour staff took extra care for him and put some makeup on his face as a complementary. Actually they wanted to prove a point that they can make anyone look beautiful. So they took it as a challenge to make a man look like a woman and went overboard. As they were not charging anything, Kiran & Kranthi accepted it.

After the session in parlour, when he looked in the mirror, he was astonished with their work. There was no trace of his old self. Now no one could guess he was a male. After paying them, they went to the mall. Kiran was too exited seeing Kiran looking so beautiful. So she offered to buy many things for him like dresses, makeup kits etc. But Kiran denied accepting them citing waste of money. Playfully he said "I'm sure you will not mind if I use yours". Kiran agreed and took him to footwear section. There they bought many pairs in different styles, from Flats to platforms to wedge heels to high heels and pointed heels in his size.

Kranthi needed something else. Back in the day when he was practicing classical dances, they used to wear saree or Dhothi. But in modern times, he found in videos that Leggings became common and looked more comfortable. Kranthi told I want to practice Kuchipudi for an hour daily. So I need to buy a pair of leggings. Kiran did not hear the reason, she simple heard "I want leggings". She offered him to take from her wardrobe citing his own logic. Kiran also bought some oxfords in her size in Men's section. The sales man was surprised seeing a woman buying mens shoes for herself. Though she had a men's hair style, her body had curves she could not hide.

It was already dark by the time they reached their apartment. Kranthi was afraid someone might notice them so he wore the hoodie over his head and walked quickly bowing his head. Kiran on the other hand was confident as many in her apartment have already seen her in Men's attire before. Now the only difference was the hair cut which she intended people to see. She greeted an old couple who were walking towards them in the corridor while Kranthi tried hard to avoid. The old couple saw them with wierd looks. But replied "Hi" politely to Kiran's greeting. The uncle asked her about her job and praised her for taking on the male dominated world. The aunty took Kranthi aside while the uncle was talking to Kiran and asked him about his look. "Is it makeup that you are wearing?" She asked. Kranthi did not know what to say. He just blurted out "It's for my dance performance which I'm practicing for. I'm a Kuchipudi dancer". The aunty appreciated his dedication towards art and told him she herself was a dancer when she was young. She asked him when the program was. He replied saying "very soon aunty. Dates are not announced yet". She said all the best and they departed. After reaching home they spent nice time together living the roles of opposite genders.

Next day Kranthi found that even after he removed the make-up, he still looked like a woman because of his eyebrows. So he decided to wear something from Kiran's wardrobe that day. Kiran suggested a kirthi and leggings which had a duppata. She asked him to wear a bra and panty underneath just to complete the look. It was a big step for him as it meant he was willingly accepting to live like a wife in the house. But he took it in his stride easily. She helped him by adjusting the bra and inserting some socks. She said to herself that she has to find a permanent solution for this. They both did the chores and Kiran left for office looking sharp and manly.

Kiran looked at his reflection in the mirror and appreciated his new artificial curves. He place a small chain in his neck and did light touch-up with lipstick and kajal. He topped it off with a small stone bindi between his newly shaped eyebrows. To complete the look, he wore bangles and anklets aswell. He switched on his laptop and started doing his work. Suddenly one of the interns pinged in their teams that she had a doubt. So they shared the screens and he explained her. She said all her new joinee friends had similar issues so they all requested him to take a class in Zoom / Teams. He was totally engrossed in his work and said okay. Soon a link came to him. When he and opened the లు nk, the camera and mike were already on. Everyone has seen him but he was not looking at the screen. Only when all joined the meet and wished him "Good Morning Madam", he realised what ye was wearing. So he spoke to them in a high pitch as he practiced. Towards the end of the session One of the girls pointed out that he was not wearing earrings. She said "Please wear some jhumkas Madam, they will suit you". He just smiled and said "next time".

Towards evening when he was about to finish the day, their bell rang. He was not expecting anyone so he thought Kiran came home early. He went casually and opened the door. He was surprised that Shilpa aunty, the lady from yesterday was at the door. She too was surprised seeing Kiran in full woman's attire. He blushed and welcomed her inside. Shilpa aunty said he was too cute and that no one would believe him if he said he was not female. He prepared some tea and gave her. She observed him how easily he handled his dupatta and how well his mannerisms were. She talked about his dance. Kiran told everything and showed her his old pics and collection of dance props. Aunty shared about her experience. They both bonded well. While they both were talking, the bell rang again and this time it was Kiran. When Kranthi opened the door, before he could tell that aunty was inside house, Kiran have a big hug and said "How was your day Wifey??? Here...., take these... Beautiful flowers for a beautiful wife" She brought Jasmine Flower garland and gave to Kranthi. He blushed and made a gesture with his eyes to look at the sofa where aunty was sitting.

Kiran - Oh Hi Aunty.... I'm sorry I did not notice you.
Shilpa - Hi Mr Kiran. It's not your fault. When you have such a beautiful wife, which man will look elsewhere...!

Kiran and Kranthi both blushed and Kiran excused herself to change. Kranthi kept the flowers at the dining table. Shilpa took them and asked Kranthi to come near and turn around. She kept the flowers in Kranthi 's head. Kranthi saw no point in objecting. After that Kranthi felt like taking her blessings and touched her feet. Shilpa blessed "May god give my lovely daughter all the very best he can" and left. Kranthi said thanks and bid farewell. Kiran came out and inquired what happened. Kranthi told everything and said our masquerade is over. From tomorrow we have to switch back to our normal selves. Kiran replied "Yes our masquerade in me as wife and you as husband is over. We can be full time as a new couple..., you as wife and me as husband from now on."
Kranthi was surprised and asked why...

Kiran said "Why not? WHATS WRONG IN IT?"
