Chapter 1 — The Husband Who Loved His Long Hair
In a small village surrounded by green paddy fields, coconut trees, and old tiled-roof houses lived Ravi and his wife, Lakshmi. They had been married for three years and shared a quiet, loving life.
Ravi was known throughout the village for his extraordinary black hair. It flowed down his back, almost reaching his waist, shining like silk in the sunlight.
Every morning, he sat before a mirror, carefully combing his hair from the roots to the ends. He would separate it into sections, smooth away every tangle, and tie it into his favorite bun.
Lakshmi often watched him with a smile.
“Ravi, you take better care of your hair than I take care of mine!” she teased.
He laughed. “I love long hair, Lakshmi. But don't ever ask me to wear a saree or women's clothes. That isn't for me.”
“I know,” she replied, affectionately touching his bun. “Your hair is beautiful just the way you like it.”
Neither of them knew that their peaceful life was about to change forever.
