During a vacation shopping trip, Aadya and Surabhi stopped at a store filled with colourful salwar suits, bangles, earrings, and traditional clothing.
Surabhi noticed a turquoise embroidered chudidar.
"Pradeep, this colour would look lovely on you."
He quickly looked away. "It's not for me."
"There's no harm in looking," she replied gently.
Aadya suggested that he try it, but she made it clear that the choice was his.
After a long hesitation, Pradeep entered the fitting room. When he came out wearing the turquoise chudidar and matching dupatta, he felt nervous.
Aadya did not laugh. Surabhi adjusted the dupatta neatly over his shoulder.
Pradeep looked into the mirror and noticed that he liked the colours and the way the outfit fitted.
"Do you like it?" Aadya asked.
He smiled faintly. "Yes. I think I do."
For the first time, he had chosen a feminine outfit because he genuinely wanted to try it. He bought it and carried it home himself.
That small decision became an important step in his journey.
