THE BOY WHO WON HER HEART
The college garden was filled with the sounds of laughter, conversation, and the rustling of trees. Beneath an old banyan tree sat Prem, a twenty-one-year-old engineering student with a quiet personality and unusually long, dark hair.
While his classmates were busy discussing examinations, Prem was sketching something in his notebook.
A girl suddenly appeared beside him.
"Are you always this serious?" she asked.
Prem didn't look up.
"Only when someone interrupts my masterpiece."
The girl leaned forward and saw a beautiful portrait of herself.
"Wait! You drew me?"
Prem finally looked at her.
"Unfortunately, yes. Now I have to look at you every day."
The girl laughed.
Her name was Neha.
That small conversation became the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Neha was confident, talkative, and adventurous. Prem was patient, thoughtful, and quietly romantic. They were opposites, but somehow they understood each other perfectly.
They shared lunch beneath the banyan tree, walked home together after classes, and spent evenings discussing their dreams.
Neha loved Prem's long hair. Sometimes, while they sat together in the garden, she would gently play with the loose strands.
"Promise me something," she said one evening.
"What?"
"Never cut your hair."
Prem smiled.
"If you love it that much, I'll keep it."
Three years passed.
Their friendship became love.
On graduation day, Neha stood beside Prem beneath the same banyan tree.
"Where do you see yourself in ten years?" she asked.
Prem took her hand.
"Working somewhere, earning enough money, and coming home to you every evening."
Neha smiled through her tears.
"Then let's make that happen."
Their families eventually agreed to their marriage.
But Prem had no idea that his wedding would introduce him to an unexpected chapter of his life.
A chapter that would challenge his confidence, test his relationship, and bring him closer to the woman he loved.
